Sacroiliac Joint Injections

Sacroiliac joint injections are steroid injections into the sacroiliac joint (SIJ), which is located within the pelvis. This joint does not have very much motion but can still become irritated and inflamed like other joints. Normally it functions as a shock absorber for the torso and spine but can cause significant pain if irritated. Steroids can help reduce the inflammation in this area.
